I'm trying....

So we're not even a month into the new year and I've already missed a week of writing. Sorry friends. But since I have to get up super early tomorrow morning, this is going to be kinda short..............

Here's all I have to say........... I AM A FIRST TIME CAR OWNER!!!! Yes, that's right. I bought my first car last monday. I can't believe I've had her for almost a week. Our love seems to grow stronger every day. I can't find my camera cord or I would put a picture up of us.... but just know that she is beautiful and she is all mine! YAY for not having to take the bus or my parents' cars anymore. I know my dad is also excited to have his car back for good now.

Okay.... that's all for now! GOOD NIGHT WORLD!!!

Busy....

Can I just say that I was planning last month to have a very busy semester this go round.... And that definately hasn't changed. It's just going to be busy for different reasons. I got a new job, purely by luck, but I'm so excited for it. My good friend, Anna, who is in my major with me was talking to me yesterday morning and telling me how she is going to be the EP for the Wednesday and Friday shows at BYU. I told her how I was looking for a little something in the newsroom to keep me busy.

Well, she called me like an hour later and told me to get my butt back to the COMMS building. I went and she told me that they didn't have an EP for Monday or Tuesday shows. I told Brother Curtis I was interested and he gave me the job right there. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

Now most of you are probably wondering what an EP is. The broadcast students at BYU put on a real, live newscast every day at noon on KBYU. I've done that in semesters past and reported or partailly produced on it. But the EP is the person just under the teacher who is in charge of the newscast: The timing, the order, the presentation, the look. For the first couple of weeks I will be putting together the newscast on my own. After that I will be teaching a new student each week how to do it. I'm kinda nervous because it's a lot of pressure, but I like pressure... I can handle it.

I'll still be working at Brick Oven because the hours of this job are from 7am to 1pm and it's only twice a week so it wouldn't bring in the kind of money I need. For those of you who know me, know I'm not a morning person.... I hope I don't die this semester with the early mornings!

P.S. I start a new diet/exercise program that is kicking my butt.... literally. My hind end is SO SORE! But I have to go to another workout now.... UGH!!!

New Year's Newness

For the past 4 1/2 years I've been really in love with one person. I don't mean my parents or family. But he certainly was as close to me as family as anyone can get. In fact, he was about to become my eternal family. I have recently had to let go of him. I need to let him grow, learn and become his own person. I hope he's able to do that ... soon. Then there still might be a chance for us.
But while he is growing and finding his pather, I'm going to be changing mine. I can't tell you if our paths will cross again. I know I sure hope they do, but for know I can't think about that.
So as I start this new year, I have so many options and so much time. I'll be honest... I'm afriad of what lies ahead. I don't like not knowing what my future holds. At the same time I can't wait to conquer whatever Heavenly Father has in store for me. And oh.... you better believe me.... I WILL conquer it!!!
As for what happens along the way, there is one promise I'm going to make. It is so theraputic for me to blog. I'm able to get all my feelings out and feel like, if nothing else, I know where I stand. I know who I am. I know what I believe.... and to me that's what's most important. So from here on out, I promise to blog every week. It'll be good for me to get everything out. And hopefully it will be entertaining for you all along the way!!!
Here are just a few pictures from the past couple months..... in memory of a great 2009!!!!
